My sister in law sent me these pictures and I just had to share them. Joseph asked me why I wanted to be "gruesome" and I told him that they were too shocking to keep to myself. How willing are you to sacrifice comfort for style?

All I can saw is ouch!
That poor woman was probably a young child when her feet were bound. She had no say in it.
Those pictures are amazing. If I wore some of those heels, I would be over 6' tall! As much as I have hated my big feet, I am so greatful no one made me bind them up like that.
ewwwww. that is totally disgusting. I can't imagine EVER doing that. I can't sacrifice for comfort...THAT is why I own one pair of not so high heels and one pair of boots that rarely are worn!
that is CRAZY!!! and i can't believe that their toes actually curled under their feet! YUCK!! people are nuts.
